Big Brother Naija 2019 auditions: Nigerians react to huge crowd at centers

Nigerians across the country have reacted to the just concluded auditioning of the Big Brother Naija 2019.

The auditions which held across eight cities of Lagos, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, Ibadan, Enugu, Warri, Calabar and Benin on Friday and Saturday experienced massive crowd at all the centres.

This has since generated reactions from Nigerians who are now wondering if youths would turn up massively for the upcoming election in February, 16, the same way.

Meanwhile, host of Big Brother Naija reality show, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, has warned against potential housemates campaigning on social media.

Here are some comments gathered by DAILY POST:

@Rouvafe “People slept at the venue of Big Brother Auditions, people have stood on the queue since as early as 5am, I saw one girl climbing fence too. The sun will beat them there, same with the rains, but they will stay put. Please let’s maintain this same energy on Election Day.”

@Ilynem “The crowd at the #BBnaija auditions is proof of our flawed value system and our failed government. I am not against anyone going to audition for it, but when this is what majority of our youth see as a way to escape poverty, then we have a serious problem.”

@Donjossy “How many of them there at BBNaija auditions actually have their PVC??
On a second thought, the government hasn’t given them enough reason to go out and vote, talkless of hope for the future.”

@Iletemidayo “My big brother audition experience today was the worst. This is my second year auditioning and I must say last year’s audition was better.”

@Real_Seyifunmi “The real winner of BBNaija auditions is the Nigerian Immigration Service. Millions of Nigerian youths have coughed out money for international passport which is one of the requirements to audition for Big Brother. Can PVC be a requirement too Abeg?

@Oluwakamal “So they all have their international passport, I think they should use PVC instead of international passport for the next BBNaija audition.”

@Islimfit “Watched videos of the 2019 BBNaija auditions. Thousands of people even slept at the venue yesternight. Plenty of queues and drama at the venue. But do you blame them? A nation where there are millions of unemployed youths. I just wish they can retain same energy for the elections.”

@Tweetoracle “Just imagine only two Potential House Mates to be picked from every BBNaija Audition venue. How do you sift 2 from 10,000? I don’t envy the judges, they got the thankless job of sorting and sitting thru the crazies of many a Nigerian youth.”

@Adunfejosh “Wouldn’t it be nice if people came out for election like this on 16th Feb.”

@TosinOlugbenga “No jobs,ASUU is on strike..
Guess what? BBNaija 2019 got this huge crowd at her audition as early as 4:45 am. Apparently, some people slept at the venue.”

Procrastination flew you away

Oh my loving Desdemona

Time could not wait for you

Your owners procastinate your life

But could not procrastinate your death

Delay caught you by the throat

Even when your owners were ready

Ready to save your life

Mr A was the problem

But Mr B cure was administered to you

Different pins went into your skin daily

These wicked vets., refused to allow your owners know about the nature of your sickness

These vets became useful fools

Even when the nature of your sickness was discovered

It was already too late

Too late to revive you

For the cold fingers already held you by the throat

For the sickness has eaten you deep

Deep beyond measures

The last pin entered your skin

Its content deliberating life or death

The last pin entered into your skin and its content sent you packing

Out of these beautiful world

Oh no the youngest owner watched

Watched the world crumble

For our beautiful Desdemona breath her last

Breath her last; at the same time tears dropped

Out of our last born’s eyes.

“Nigerian pastors are fraudsters” – Singer, Samklef says, reconciles with Daddy Freeze

Nigerian Singer, Samklef and Daddy Freeze have ended their squabble 3 years after they mercilessly dragged and blocked each other on social media.

Recall that in 2018, Samklef and Daddy Freeze disagreed over religion.

Trouble started when Freeze criticized a report about the healing of a mentally challenged man at an RCCG church.

Samklef, who was displeased with his critics against men of God, slammed Freeze, telling him that his constant criticism of the church was getting boring.

The exchange heated up, with Freeze telling Samklef his career was dead which led to the singer calling him a “fake ass oyinbo” and his followers “mumu Satan followers”.

What Daddy Freeze said about Sound Sultan after his death

Following the development, they later blocked and unfollowed each other on all their social media platforms.

However, Samklef took to his Instagram account on Sunday to reach out to Daddy Freeze, stating that he can now see “clearly”.

He said most religious leaders are “419” and Freeze was right all along.

“I was blind and ignorant but now I understand and can see clearly.

“Everything Daddy Freeze has been saying is the truth. 90 percent of the so called Nigerian men of God are fraudsters.

“It’s your faith that makes you whole so they collect money for miracles that happens through you.

‘Praying to Lucifer more effective than praying to Jesus’ – Daddy Freeze

“Daddy Freeze is the John the baptist of this generation. I can finally see,” he wrote.

In his response, Freeze acknowledged his acceptance and admitted he should have been patient with Samklef at the time.
